Resin composite fillings

Thanks to technological advances, the quality and resistance of dental materials is improved and we can use more frequently white fillings (composite resin) and inlays/onlays for numerous cases. Traditional dental amalgams are used in a more limited scope today.

It has to be noted that resin composite fillings last 6-9 years and require frequent check compared to dental amalgams, the life span of which goes beyond 10 years. Life span of fillings depends from oral hygiene and daily habits.
